Junior/Senior Find-Outer:
If you got the reference to your potential job title this is probably the job of your dreams! ShoeBox Labs is currently at an interesting phase of development where we are grappling with a number of questions: What are our outcomes? What are we exactly getting out to the kids? Are they learning? Will they become makers? How do they get to pursue the idea of excellence? Can tinkering make better human beings? How do we think? Who am I? And so on…
So, if you think you are willing to take a magnifying glass and go hunt for these answers with our Makers of Stuff and Workshop Masters in the field, collect data and analyze it (qualitative now and maybe quantitative later), you are probably our person.
We are looking for someone who is super interested in research, is curious (as is the rest of our team, but you are just extra curious) and meticulous in asking questions, organizing data and documentation, is willing to travel with the team and think of interesting ways of measuring things, then you are our person.
We are agnostic to your background, but are looking for high levels of professionalism, work ethic, the ability to work in a team and just generally be awesome! You should of course have some evidence to show that you are indeed interested in research (a paper perhaps).
